Walter Scott Sparks' Obituary
Walter "Wally" Sparks, 80, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2019 in Gladstone, Oregon with Joan, his wife of 57 years, by his side.
Wally was born on April 17, 1939, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Walter Scott Sparks and Mary Magdalene Sparks.
He attended Lewis and Clark College and received his Masters of Education in 1962. After his first teaching positions in Philomath and Ukiah, he finished his career as a teacher and administrator in the Oregon City School district for 37 years.
He married Joan Tyler in 1962, and they have two children, Douglas and David; Daughter-In-Law Annette; seven grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter on the way.
Walter is survived by his older brother Ron Sparks and his younger sister Mary Kay Garrison.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 4PM on Sunday, June 23rd at Rolling Hills Community Church in Tualatin, Oregon, with a reception to follow.
