Sterling "Skip" Jarden's Obituary
STERLING “SKIP” JARDEN
Sterling Jarden was born February 12, 1956, in Baumholder, Germany and passed away on August 23, 2022. He was born to Alfred and Dolores Jarden and is survived by his loving wife Sharon Jarden, his two children Zachary and Hannah Jarden (of his first marriage to Jeanne Jarden), Jim (brother) and Debra Jarden, Randy, and Holly (sister) Phillips.
Sterling graduated from McKinley High School in 1974 in Oahu, Hawaii, and later Chaminade University in 1979. Sterling was a private country club general manager for several clubs and won Country Club Manager of the year for his many clever ideas in hospitality and leadership.
Sterling met Sharon in 2009 and eventually moved to Lake Oswego, Oregon where the two married in September of 2017 and continued to enjoy retirement and travelled extensively.
Sterling had an amazing soul and an ability to make people laugh with his many (possibly embellished) adventurous and mischievous stories. He was a classy man with a tremendous intellect and expansive knowledge of current events and was fascinated by science and learning every day. He will be sincerely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him and spend time with him.
