In 3rd grade, Skylar moved from Oregon City to Portland and was in my same class with Ms. Pitt. He was so incredibly smart, I was obsessed with him from the first day. He hated me though, LOL. As airless girl I didn’t have much restraint so he saw how much I liked him and was disgusted but we were able to be slight friends due to having the same friend group with Parker Snook, Ethan Archer, Connor Riggs, Andrew Alvarez (I think?), Tim Forsyth, etc. I’ll never forget how amazed we were that he was doing long division while the rest of the class was learning simple multiplication tables. We were nominated for TAG together and that was no surprise to anyone that knew Skylar. We was very quick witted and very sarcastic. I moved on the last day of 5th grade to Oregon City and didn’t see Skylar again until some time in 2016-2017 when he was living in the detached garage (very neat btw) with his dad. We went to Shari’s and caught up, then went out separate ways. I hope the family is okay. It’s never easy and I can’t even pretend to know what it’s like, but just know you have so many people that loved him in different capacities. My condolences.
