Nancy Jane Davis Chapman's Obituary
Nancy Davis Chapman, 65, died October 8, 2013, at her home in Oregon City surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous six-month battle against cancer. Nancy was born in Oregon City on February 18, 1948 to Joseph E. Davis and Elizabeth Grace Telford. She married James Thomas Chapman in January of 1971, and together they enjoyed spending time with their family, cooking and camping. Nancy also enjoyed taking long walks with friends, drawing and gardening. She was the bookkeeper at Tony's Fish Market for 22 years and was also an active member of the Baha'i community in Oregon City.Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, James Thomas Chapman; her three sons, Phil Larry Moser, Jason Edward Chapman and Chris James Chapman; her five grandchildren Ian Moser, Garrett and McKinley Moon-Chapman, and Kaylee and Emma Chapman; her three brothers Joe, John and Jim Davis; her beloved dog Candy; three daughters-in-law and many other friends and relatives who loved her dearly and will miss her very much. Nancy was predeceased by her sister Betty Guffy.A service in memory of Nancy will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Holman-Hankins in Oregon City.
