Joyce Edith McManus' Obituary
Joyce Edith McManus of Happy Valley died August 2, 2013, she was 78 years old. Mrs. McManus was born November 19, 1934, in Ellensburg, WA. She spent her childhood years in Ellensburg and in 1946 her family moved to La Grande, OR where she graduated high school. She attended Eastern Oregon University for one year, transferred the University of Oregon where she graduated in 1956. She moved to Portland in 1959 and remained in the area until her death.She was a member of PEO, was involved with the Assistance League and the Albertina Kerr Center.Survivors include her son Michael McManus of Happy Valley, daughter Pamela Beall of Gresham, sister Marilee Goodwin of Lake Oswego, her five grandchildren Michael McManus, Alyssa McManus, Jaron Beall, Kaylee Beall and Jaymen Beall.A memorial services will be held on August 9th at Holman-Hankins-Bowker & Waud in Oregon City at 1 pm with a reception to follow.The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
