John Reichardt Farris' Obituary
John Reichardt Farris
December 29, 1972 - February 3, 2024
John passed away at home on February 3, 2024 at the age of 51.
He was born to Guy Farris and Frances Dunn (Mocini) on December 29, 1972 in Little Rock, AR and a week later the family moved to Corpus Christi, TX.
John grew up fishing. riding motorcycles with his Dad and exploring the Gulf Coast waters on the family’s Hobie Catamaran. One may have heard a rumor that a Jet Ski was sunk in Nueces Bay but those details still remain ‘unanswered’. John moved to Portland, OR in his early teens. He loved to ski and drive fast cars. He graduated from Lake Oswego High School in 1991 where he was on the soccer team.
John built his career around automobiles, his lifelong interest. He owned a specialty auto spa in Beaverton, OR for 25 years.
John’s passion was his family and friends. He was fiercely protective and committed to the wellbeing of his family. His favorite pastime was making sure his family enjoyed a life of exploration and adventure. The family took countless trips with their Side-by-Side UTV, camping in nature and riding motorcycles with his boys.
John was unapologetically patriotic. He loved his country and the men and women who signed up to protect us. Numerous members of John’s family served in the military and you would always see an American flag proudly displayed in and around John’s home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project or Operation Homefront.
John is survived by his wife of 23 years, Georgiana Farris, his sons Cooper Farris, Colin Farris and Ryne Smith.
A celebration to honor John’s life will be held on February 14th, 2024 from 3-5pm at Robinwood Station, 3706 Cedaroak Drive, West Linn, OR 97068
