John was very protective of me, even before he was born. It was mid December and I was taking my last test for my masters degree. John was 24 inches long and weighed almost ten pounds. As you can imagine, he took up a lot of space. The professor watched my stomach push against the desk for thirty minutes before he came over, picked up my test booklet, and said “Go home. You have an A “
John was too big for newborn clothes. We took him home wrapped in a blanket.
When he was about nine months old, I was awakened by the doorbell. I went to the door to see a very wet John , held by my next door neighbor. He said, “I found this in my driveway”.
John had gotten out of his bed. Crawled to the front door. Unlocked the door and crawled to the neighbors house.
This is how he lived his life. Always looking for the next adventure.
I love you John.
Be safe in your next adventure.
