I have only just learned of Hans passing away and am deeply saddened.We first met when i played at the canadian shadowmania with Bruce Welch, and i liked him the moment we met.He was very kind, very funny and shared the same passion for Shadows music.I send my sincerest condolances to his family and friends at this difficult time and will remember him through my music.Rip Hans, you will be really missed.Phil Kelly lead guitarist with Bruce Welchs Shadows 16.04.15

I met Hans at a gathering of Shadows music fans in Holland. A real gent, and delightful company. We traded a box of hard to get guitar plectrums for a CD of the band I was playing in (Legend). We kept in touch via the web over the years, and he gave me a CD of his band... So I guess we've run on parallel lines for a few years. I am so sorry to hear that he has left us, but we have so much to remember him by and be thankful for. So, to those of you who mourn, we send love and respect from the UK. David & Barbara Martin

Oh Hans,Here's to you, my friend, co-worker, fellow musician and lover of life. I remember the jams, our Intel motherboard days, good & bad, the sushi lunches, the CPR 'meetings' - how fitting that your celebration will be there. I love how you reinvented yourself after Intel, turning your love of music & gear into your next chapter. How many basses & guitars did you collect? I lost count. I remember the Shadows, Chet Atkins & Tommy Emmanuel. I will always remember your world view, sarcastic, like mine. Maybe that's why we hit it off so. As the "back fence" neighbor to Hans and Coby, I was always delighted to hear his cheery "Hello Neighbor!" What a delightful man -- he will be sorely missed. He made his corner of the world a much better place. I always enjoyed hearing his music wafting on the breeze and wished he would play more.
