Jeffrey DePaola's Obituary
September 28, 1970 – September 2, 2023
Jeffrey DePaola was born on September 28, 1970, in Portland, Oregon. He passed away surrounded by his loved ones on September 2, 2023, who will continue to honor Jeff’s legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Jeff’s life was cut short but those who truly knew him understand that the quality of existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which one lives. Anyone who knew Jeff was touched by his kind heart, dry sense of humor and sarcasm. We truly miss his smile and laughter.
Jeff grew up in Milwaukie as the youngest of six children. Growing up he enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, motorcross racing, baseball and golf. His older siblings would take him on vacations with them so that he could “babysit,” although inevitably he ended up enjoying the vacation and not watching his nieces or nephews. He attended parochial schools all the way through high school. He graduated from Portland State University, where he met his wife. He was a devoted Notre Dame fan and loved most sports, either playing them or watching them.
Jeff and Connie spent 28 truly joyful years together. They loved golfing together and just being together. Jeff and Connie had a saying of “no regrets.” They lived their lives together to the fullest with no regrets.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen (Kitty) and his sister, Jeanne. Jeff is survived by his wife, Connie; brother Danny (Laurie); sisters Peggy (Mike), Jeanne (Joe), Bobbie (Mike) and Karen (Gary).
