So much of who I am today has to do with my yesterdays with Jeff. He was my best friend. God, I miss him! They say when you meet the right person you just know it. That was Jeff & I.
We met at Portland State University where we had multiple classes together.
Our first casual date was Cinco DeMayo on waterfront, with our official first date on May 10th of 94. Jeff took me to the Rhododendron gardens (which I had never been to) & a movie at Southgate, “the Crow.” Our dating was a whirlwind of getting to know each other, going out dancing & just having fun. Jeff proposed on December 10th of 94 after an evening of night skiing at ski bowl. One of my favorite memories from that night, besides getting engaged of course, was as we were getting off the ski lift, I ran over his skis & made him fall. Of course, I stayed up, but he was a little put off as the ski lift crew all clapped for me. He truly was the more graceful one but that memory was something we laughed about time & time again.
We were married on August 25th of 95.
“No regrets” became out moto after his beloved sister, Jeanne, passed away shortly after we were married. We had such fun & a great life together. We golfed so many places that we never dreamed of being able to. He was always my best cheerleader while playing golf. Whether giving me instructions or just watching me play. Jeff truly enjoyed others playing well & being able to witness it. But what a beautiful swing he had, he made it look so easy.
His favorite golf course/area is by far, Bandon Dunes. He requested his ashes to be spread on Bandon Dunes course, hole 16. Some of his family & friends will be gathering there on his next birthday to do so.
He was taken too early, but I treasure my memories & try to go on with “no regrets.”
I miss you, Jeff
Love you mostest infinity
