William Junior Stennett's Obituary
William J. Stennett was born to William Louis and Maudie Mae Stennett on June 6, 1922 in Portland, Oregon. He attended Clackamas Grade School, Milwaukie Union High School, and Oregon State University. He departed college early to enlist in the Army Air Corp during World War II. His military assignment was in Morocco for 3 years as a Staff Sergeant repairing aircraft for the United States and England. He married Dorothy Veneta Moffit in 1941; they had one son. Bill became a water well driller operating out of Clackamas County and was active in the state driller's association. His love for fishing in local rivers and the ocean continued throughout his whole life. Bill fished the local riverbanks until he was 90 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy after 50 years of marriage. He is survived by his son, Robert, and his two grandchildren, Jennifer Woodard and Kenneth Stennett, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held July 19 at 1pm at Willamette National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital.
