Wenda Lee Lloyd's Obituary
Wenda Lee Lloyd of Gladstone, Oregon, passed away on April 12, 2023. Wenda was born in 1938 to Florence and Wendell Harmon. Wenda spent her earliest years at Spearfish Ranger Station in the Black Hills. She graduated from Colorado State University in occupational therapy, meeting her future husband, Kent Lloyd. They moved to Oregon where Wenda began her career as a mental health OT. When their children arrived, first Sharon, followed by Shannon and Brett, Wenda became a fulltime mother. Later, Wenda returned to the workplace where she was recognized by the governor as the Oregon Mental Health Provider of the Year. In retirement, Wenda focused on service to the homeless community, travelling with Kent to their beloved Colorado Rockies, her watercolors, and being with family in the forest. Wenda is survived by her husband, adult children, grandchildren (Sam and Seren), and a multitude of dear family and lifelong friends.
The family will gather for a private Celebration of Life later this summer.
