I loved Vi Gerber. I was one of those girlfriends of one of her sons who thought Vi walked on water. Ron and I Deanna and Lexi spent Sundays w his parents. I looked forward to this. She and Don were both so kind to me and we all enjoyed the girls together. They loved being there w their grandparents. It was an oasis for me. While Ron and I didn't marry, her colorful sayings still come out of my mouth every day. I did one great kindness for both Ron and his mother. Vi asked me to take the 24 year old poodle Poo Poo in for euthenasia because neither she nor Ron could bear to do it and it was past time. She loved her "doglets" and Im glad I could do it for her although it wasn't easy to do. Time and lives move on. I was unaware Ron died in 1988 and did not learn it until 2008. I was lucky to be around them all for a few years and treasure the time I had w Ron and his family. I was young and greatly influenced by them. I love remembering Vi in her greenhouse with the two poodles Skitter and Poo Poo showing me how her plants were doing and just enjoying each other's company. Thank you Vi for loving me a bit too! I'm sorry this time has come for you her family, it's an enormous loss as well as a time to celebrate this amazing lady and her life.
