Victor William NicholsMay 5, 1948 - August 10, 2014Victor William Nichols, Vic, was born on May 5th 1948 in Oregon City, Oregon. Victor was the third born child of Laurence and Virginia Nichols. At the age of 19 he married his sweetheart, Peggy. Vic and Peggy were married for 47 years. Victor and Peggy share two children Bill and Leslie. He was proud when the family grew to also include Jeni and Mark. He was surrounded with 5 beautiful grandchildren, Austin, John, Matthew, Thomas and Mackenzie. He took great joy in watching his grandchildren grow in to the fine young people they are today.Victor spent many weekends with his parents, aunts/uncles, sisters, cousins and many friends hunting, fishing, camping and boating. He loved to be surrounded by people he cared about. Many of you were the recipient of his any time of the day phone calls. Victor was a more the merrier kind of guy. He was known as Mr. Fix It. If it didn't run, Vic could make it run. This is a trait he took great pride in knowing he passed along to his son.In recent years he struggled with multiple health issues but it never surpassed his dream to be back doing the things he loved. The complications became too great and Victor peacefully passed away this past Sunday, August 10th. Victor is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and sisters, Rosalie, Suzanne and Pamela. A memorial service will be held at the Oregon City Elks on August 15th at 1:00 pm. Arrangements entrusted to Holman-Hankins-Bowker & Waud.
