Steven Richard Kelly's Obituary
Steven Richard Kelly - K7EM
March 13, 1964-August 4, 2016
Steve was born March 13, 1964 in Portland, OR. He graduated from Oregon City High School in 1982. Steve courageously fought a long battle with FSH Muscular Dystrophy. Steve passed away peacefully surrounded by family and was in the care of Providence Hospice and loving Homewatch caregivers. We were blessed to have him with us for 52 years.
He was a Ham Radio operator, K7EM, with many awards since the age of 13. His "Ham" buddies stayed loyal to him throughout his life.
Steve was a techy-computer savvy man and voluntarily helped many friends and relatives. Those who had the privilege of knowing him were always impressed by his humility and kindness. His faith in a loving God sustained him always. He lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed nature. He had a large fish tank he enjoyed and everyone who saw it was amazed how beautiful the plants and fish were.
God chose to call Steve to his heavenly home.
God bless all of Steve's nieces and nephews -Danielle, Brooke, Courtney, Grant, Brittany & Cody who were all lovingly close to Uncle Steve. Brother Donald Kelly & Wife DeeAnn of Beavercreek, OR and Sister Sheryl Dunton & Husband Bud of Mulino, OR and Great Aunt Hilda Seltman of Milwaukie, OR.
Steve is survived by his father Richard F. Kelly and Mother Donna M. Kelly of Beavercreek, OR.
Celebration of Life will be held at Everett Hall on August 13, 2016 at 2pm, located at Hopkins Demonstration Forest 16750 S. Brockway Rd. Oregon City, OR 97045. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Providence Hospice or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
