Starla Faye Bowdon's Obituary
Starla Bowdon (65) of Oregon City, Oregon was called home to her heavenly Father on June 1, 2020. Star passed away at home from complications of cancer.
Starla Faye Newsom was born in Ontario, Oregon to Avery and Geneva on October 6, 1954. Starla had three brothers and six sisters. She married David Scott Busselle on May 28, 1977 in Reno, Nevada and had two children together. She married Robert Evans Bowdon on April 3, 2008 in Clackamas, Oregon. She lived in Boise, Idaho most of her early years and later moved with her first born to Oregon City, Oregon. She attended Lowell Elementary, North Junior High and graduated from Boise High in Boise, Idaho.
She obtained her real-estate license and was a certified Master Gardener. She worked at Kaiser Permanente for 30 years and retired in 2009.
She and her husband are Christans and are members of Rolling Hills Community Church.
She was known for her carefree demeanor and loving everyone in her life. Evans and her loved each other very much and enjoyed working hard on their home. She greatly enjoyed travelling and whale watching on the coast. She always felt her children were her greatest accompaniment and supported them with unconditional love. She loved her grandchildren and was fiercely proud of them.
Heroic in her efforts to continue to fight and maintain her dignity, she showed great strength throughout many health issues. She was deeply loved by all her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Evans Bowdon; son, Tevian; daughter, Tracy Frojd; two grandchildren, Jordan Frojd and Jayvon Frojd; brothers, Nerd Sain, Todd Newsom and Morgan Newsom; sisters, Carol Haddon, Scarlet McKinney and Lori Newsom; family friend, Robert Reitmeyer; and many other in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father and mother, Avery Newsom and Geneva Elliott Newsom; three sisters, Glenna Elliott, Patricia Lance and Dorothy Smith.
She will be buried at Mt. View Cemetery in Oregon City, Oregon. A celebration of life will be held by invitation only at her home in June 2020.
