STANLEY FORREST LONEYJune 25, 1925 to January 19, 2015Stanley Forrest Loney was born June 25,1925 in Oregon City, Oregon and passed away January 19, 2015 in his home at 89 years of age. He was son to Earl and Marie (Mamie) Loney and brother to Howard. Stanley attended Hubbard High School and after graduation joined the U.S. Army Air Corp in 1943. He was honorably discharged in 1946 as corporal and was proud to be a veteran of World War II. In 1948 Stanley married Margaret Louise Rush of Jennings Lodge and this past September they celebrated 66 years together. After graduating from Lewis and Clark College and attending a year at Vanport Law School, Stanley sold real estate and soon began his 31 year career with Shell Oil Company. Entering his retirement years, Stanley went back to college to sharpen his skills in finance and computers and enjoyed hobbies of investment, beach travels, walking, social coffees and club activities with the Elks, Shriners and Masonic Order. Stanley is survived by his wife, Margaret; son Russell, and daughter Kim Strid (Rick); grandchildren Jennifer Elliott (Michael) and Jessica Warkentin; and Great grandchildren Addyson, Carly, Olivia and Brooklyn. He is proceeded in death by his parents and son, Robert (1971). A graveside service is pending.
