Kathy, my thoughts are with you. Sorry to hear of Shane's passing.
Kathy, I am so sorry to hear of Shane's passing. I worked closely with Shane when he was the Chair of the Oregon Board of Psychologist Examiners. He was an incredibly smart, yet humble, man. He was one of the kindest men I have ever known. He touched so many lives--the world is a better place because of Shane.

Great sadness and heartache was felt as we read that "Dr. Shane" had passed. Many, many years ago, when we first arrived in Salem, he took us under his wing and helped us sort out all the confusing troublesome decisions that needed to be made, in regards to the care and placement of our multiply handicapped daughter. .He was comforting with a gentle sweet soothing manner. He will truly be missed, but I know2 for sure he is in heaven where Annie Marie is showing him around.
It was an honor to attend the service today. Thoughts and prayers will continue to go out to the family.
Its times like this that make it especially hard to be far away- we wish we could be there to lend our support in person. Please know we are thinking of you, your beautiful family , and our beloved 'coach' Shane- loved and respected by so many.
Please accept my sincere condolances. Shane was my first supervisor when I began work at Fairview Training Center. He was so kind, a great mentor, and good friend as we worked together. He was instrumental as I began my 30 year career in mental health. Shane and his family are in my prayers.
Dear Kathy and Family,We are so sorry to hear of Shane's passing. He was a great guy and a wonderful friend. Shane was extremely supportive and understanding, helping me through a difficult passage in life. Getting together with Shane for lunch at Court Street Dairy or a ball game at Volcanoes Stadium will always be fond memories. Please know that our thoughts are with you.Love,Pete and Kathleen
I worked with Shane at Fairview and I am saddened by his passing. His empathy combined with his technical precision were inspiring. He will be missed.
