Sandra Kay Rice's Obituary
Sandra, born on December 30, 1947 to Glenn and Genevra Thomsen of West Linn, died the afternoon of January 26, 2013, at home after a long battle with brain cancer. Sandy graduated from West Linn High School in 1966 where she met her husband, Greg. They were married January 21st of 1966. Greg and Sandy were happily married 47 years and remained in West Linn. Sandy was mostly a homemaker but worked on occasion in retail and daycare. Sandy is survived by her husband Greg (her high school sweetheart), her daughter Krista Rowles (Rob Rowles, Son-in-law), her daughter Karen Holum (James Holum, Son-in-law), and her five grandkids, Ryan 19, Spencer 18, Bethany 14, Hannah 11, and Maegan 11. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Blaze Kyle Jones. There will be a private internment held on Friday, February 1, 2013, at Mountain View Cemetery. There will be a public memorial service held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 1pm. A public viewing will be available at Holman, Hankins, Bowker & Waud on Thursday, January 31 from 12 to 5 and Friday, February 1, from 9 to 10am.
