R.W. "Red" Tietz Jr.January 26, 1932 - September 9, 2014Son of Rudolph William and Agnes Tietz. Red graduated from Oregon City High School, served in the U.S. Navy and was a Korean War Veteran. He worked for Publishers & Smurfit Paper Mills in Oregon City until retirement. Red resided with his wife Virginia (deceased) in Gladstone for over 60 years.Red was a past Exalted Ruler of the Milwaukie Elks, a current member of the Sherwood Elks and past President of the Oregon Chapter of the Korean War Veterans. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling, as well as spending time with family. Red is survived by 3 sons; Larry, Tracy (wife Laura), Scott (wife Lisa), 8 grand children, 4 great grand children, brother Harold of Canby and extended family including nieces, nephews and cousins.A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, September 17th at 1:00PM at Willamette National Cemetery.
