Ronald Walter Sauber Sr's Obituary
Ronald Walter Sauber Sr., the youngest of three brothers born in Butte Nebraska on May 5, 1936 to Florence and Leonard Sauber. Ron passed away from mastic bone cancer on August 23, 2025.
Ron attended St. Mathers Catholic grade school and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1954.
Ron worked for his uncle's, Juhr and Sons Construction as a highly skilled heavy equipment operator and was skilled at all building endeavors from ground to show quality completion.
Ron was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War and served intelligence returning to marry "Katy" Waddill on June 17, 1967 by her brother,a Father Dale Waddill Jr. at St. John Apostle Catholic Church in Oregon City.
To be closer to home, Ron worked a short time for APO before working for SAIF as a safety instructor, until retirement.
Ron was preceded in death by his son, Ron Jr, born February 12, 1973. Ron was preceded also by his parents, Florence and Leonard and brothers, Don and Bill.
Ron is survived by his wife, Katy, Daughter-in-Law, Erin Walsh, sister-in-law, Joyce Sauber, brother-in-law Donald Hunt, Father Dale Waddill and several nieces and nephews.
