Ronald "Ron" Lewis Frey Sr of Oregon City, Oregon passed away on March 08, 2015 surrounded by his children at home. a??A celebration of life service will be March 14, 2015 at 11:00am at Oregon City Evangelical Church 1124 Linn Ave Oregon City, Oregon 97045. Long time family friend, Kevin Moore will be officiating. A committal will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City. Viewing will be from 12:00pm-7:00pm at Holman-Hankins-Bowker & Waud on March 13, 2015. Memorials will be made to The Portland Sunshine Division. a??Ron was born June 22, 1931 in his grandmother's home in Oregon City to Etta and John Frey. He attended Oregon City schools until he moved to Seaside, Oregon with his mother and Step-Father, Clarence Harvey. He joined the Army in 1950 and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany serving during the Korean War. Ron married Shirley Ann Lauber in December of 1953. Together they had 6 of his 7 children. He married Jane K Beck in 1964; together they had his youngest son, and married Sonja Moyer in 1979. a??Ron joined the Stayton, Oregon Police Department in 1958. Later he was hired by the Portland Police Department where he stayed until retiring in June 1985. Together with his son Ron Frey Jr., they started Frey International, a car leasing business. He was also a Real Estate Agent with Plain Properties in Oregon City. a??Ron is survived by his 7 children Cheryl Lynn Howell and her husband Robert, Beverly Ann Doolittle, John Edward Frey, Darlene Marie Paulson, Judy Lee Siri and her husband Gary Siri. Susan Renee Lemire and Ronald Lewis Frey Jr. and his wife Renae Frey, 4 Step-Children Deborah Galigani, Denise Moyer, Wendy Moyer, and Cindy Michaels, 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 3rd wife Sonja in 2000 and his companion of 6 years Irene Maxwell in 2007. His parents Etta Harvey in 1985 and John Frey in 1990. a??Ron enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling across the United States on his motorcycle, making weekly visits to the Woodburn Auction, and indulging in one of his greatest passions buying and selling cars. He lived a full life and was loved deeply by his family and friends.
