Robert Nicholas Thiel's Obituary
Robert Nicholas Thiel, 47, of Beavercreek passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 5, 2014. A native Oregonian, he was born in Portland October 10, 1966. Rob attended U. S. Grant High School. He was employed as a Quality Control Associate at Case New Holland. Previously, he worked for fourteen years at Custom Parts and Trailer Supply alongside his father Nick. Quick with a smile and generous by nature, Robert embraced life. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. His warm and caring spirit made him a wonderful son, father, husband, brother and friend. For everyone whose life he touched his light dimmed far too soon and has left our world a little darker. He is survived by his wife Candice; his four children, Jordan Thiel, Nickolas Jones, Chelsea Thiel and Justin Thiel all of the Portland Metro area; parents, Nicholas and Lucy Thiel of Oregon City; siblings, Lynette (Jeffrey) Thiel-Smith of Astoria, Michael (Shirley) Thiel of Tigard, Bradley (Ann) Thiel of Canby, and Bryan Thiel of Oregon City; grandmother, Rose Woytassek of Wahpeton, ND; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Holman, Hankins, Bowker & Waud, 715 7th Street in Oregon City. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Robert Thiel Memorial Fund at the Kruse Meadows Branch of the OnPoint Community Credit Union in Lake Oswego
