Robert Ray Kent's Obituary
Robert Ray Kent passed away on April 2, 2025, at Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City Oregon, four days shy of his 98th birthday which was April 6th, 1927.
Robert was born to his parents Albert Silverton Kent and Ina Price-Kent at Elliott Prairie, a suburb of Woodburn, Oregon.
Robert is proceeded in death by his siblings, Wilma, Ethel, Vi, Bertha, May, Rocky and his oldest son George Kent. Robert survives by his children Daniel Ray Kent and Susan Kaye Kent.
Robert’s wife Marcella Rosaleen Kent and Stepdaughters, Shelly Yutzie, Sherry Holt, Bonnie Taylor, Sandy Strader, Lorrie Young and their children that Robert became Grandpa Bob too.
Robert attended school through the eighth grade, at which time he joined the United States Navy at the age of 17. Robert was proud of his WWII service.
Robert attended Boot camp at Camp Perry Virginia. During his Tour of Duty, he was in the Philippine Island of Turk and Gaum. His finale port of discharge was Bremerton Washington in 1946.
Robert lived parts of his life at Tillamook Oregon, Hubbard Oregon, Albany Oregon, and Oregon City Oregon.
Robert was a hard worker, always taking good care of his family. He worked in the logging and trucking industry working at Gordon Sand and Gravel as well as Hubbard Logging and Trucking. After retiring from the trucking industry Robert worked at harvesting noble fir and curly willow pinecones, selling to local floral supply wholesalers. Robert then worked as a floral delivery driver.
Robert had a happy, friendly and smiley attitude, encouraging all those around him, his presence and smile will be truly missed.
