My cousin Rick will forever be in my heart. Many years ago, he had just purchased a very large pickup truck. As I walked past it, I asked Rick, "What do you feed that beast?" His quick reply, "Testosterone!" Everytime I see a nice truck, I hear Rick say, "Testosterone!"
He was one of the many very handsome Charriere boys and a sweetheart, too. He sure has left a void with his passing. My heart hurts for his darling wife Gayle and his children. And his brothers and sisters. And his passing was way too soon! Dear cousin, Rick, you are sorely missed.

Rick, a name I will never forget! Gayle and Family, you have lost one of the most wonderful people I have ever known. Rick was one of the BEST friends I've ever had. He was always there, whether you needed him or not. We met some thirty years ago when I was involved in scouting in Estacada with his brother Dennis and our friendship never quit growing. Rick was someone I could call if I was down or had a problem, and he always had the I CAN HELP attitude. He'd say "come on let's have lunch and figure it out". Many times when I owned Don Rhyne painting and had a tough day, it seemed in just talking to Rick every thing seemed pretty small in the big picture. He was a great friend and person. He will be missed by all who ever had the opportunity to cross paths with him. I am so thankful he got to spend his last Christmas at my place in Maupin with his whole family. He loved that place!
