The Reverend Nixon R. KnightBorn January 29, 1914 in Eldora, Iowa as the fifth of nine children to Merle and Grace Knight. Died September 11, 2014 in Oregon City, Oregon.Nixon was married to Helen Hansen Knight for seventy four years until her death in 2011.Survivors include: brother Thomas Knight, son Nixon A. Knight, daughters Nancy Hallock, Carol Knight and Joyce Loveday.He had three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.Nixon lived his life serving his Lord Jesus Christ as a pastor at churches in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Nebraska including 9 years at First Baptist Church of Oregon City. He loved the outdoors and was very active in camping programs wherever he went. Nixon served on school boards in Oregon City and in Nebraska.A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Oregon City on Saturday, September 20 at 10:00 AM.
