Ray Burton Townsend's Obituary
Ray B passed away July 30 with his son Tod by his side. Born in Carus, OR to Alice Weismandel and Ralph Townsend, he graduated from Oregon City High School in 1946. He worked in the shipyards during World War II and served in the Army during the Korean War. In 1960 he married Jeannette Parker; they lived in Oregon City and Jennings Lodge. He worked as a tugboat captain for Western Transportation for 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, two sons, Tod and Rick, one stepson, John Coady, and nine grandchildren: Troy, Ali, Tyler, Kristen, Jet, Beau, Hannah, Tyrus and Jordan. Preceded in death by his stepson Doug Coady.
