Ralph was born in Chicago, Illinois to his parents Cecil and Mary Driskill. He became a Christian at age 21, as a result of a Billy Graham crusade which forever changed his life and career path. He received his degree from Taylor University, a B.A. of Arts, in Pastoral Ministries and went to DePaul University and received a B.A. of Arts in Political Science and Government. He was dedicated to serving the Lord, in many roles, as a senior pastor for 35 years in Granger, WA Ridgefield, WA and Bellevue, WA church locations. He was a teacher and principal at multiple Christian schools in the NW, an executive director at Love, Inc., a missionary to India, and was a mentor to young adults and adult men that crossed his path. He loved camp and was a camp director and counselor to kids and volunteered at a Young Life military family camp. He was involved in prison ministries up until his last days.
He was an avid sports fan of the White Sox and Chicago Bears. He enjoyed time with his family and visiting his Chicago family, loved to read, a history buff, spending time in prayer, making jokes, and discussing theology. He especially liked to spend time and minister to those that were alone, lonely or did not “fit in”. He thoroughly enjoyed swimming, playing basketball and baseball, his Irish heritage and listened to all types of music including hymns, 60’s, classical, and jazz and blues music. He was easy going and non-judgmental, a loving and devoted pastor, husband, father and grandfather. His mission in life was to bring people to Christ from all walks of life and to always help those in need. He was loved greatly, and will be greatly missed. He is now in his permanent home, heaven.
