Philip Northrup Solem

Philip Northrup Solem died peacefully in his Milwaukie home surrounded by family and loved ones. Phil was born in Oregon City, Oregon to Annie and Northrup Solem July 5th 1943. When he graduated high school he joined the United States Coast Guard where he served his country four years. After his service he pursued a career with Hyster lift truck company working in administrative services located at that time in Portland Oregon. In 1968 he married Sharon Ann Tennent and together they raised four children in Milwaukie Oregon. Phil was happiest when he was with his beloved wife, children and grandchildren. Phil is survived by his sister Carol brother Eugene and children Jeff (Debbie) Solem, Mike (Tera) Solem, Katie Martenson and Steve (Amelia) Solem, twelve loving grandchildren, and six precious great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Holman-Hankins in Oregon City Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 3:00-5:00.
