I have so many memories of wonderful time spent with Mike. Mike was the kind of friend who we could call and he would offer a helping hand. I will miss our discussions and wonder if he and Roger are talking right now. I hope they are sharing powered donuts.
When I was younger, I remember playing catch with my Papa in my front yard. Every time he had a bad throw, frustrated, he would try his best to correct it and make a better throw on the next one. While I only saw a small portion of the Mike many know, to me, this is a testament to the care he displayed in the things he did, no matter how minor.

One of my favorite parts of my time with papa is whenever him and Mema would visit they would let me sleepover at their hotel for one of the nights. We would go to Wendy’s, watch shows, and eat plenty of junk food. He was funny and kind and sometimes grumpy and I will miss him.
I remember going to the zoo when I was younger and looking at all of the animals while eating the ice cream he got me. He was an amazing grandfather and I will always love him.
It was a privilege to be a father-in-law along with Mike. He was delightful to be around and so full of life it seems unreal now that he's gone. His passing makes me feel lonelier. When my own life is over, I hope that people can say of me as we do of Mike: he really lived! Love and peace to you, Mike, and to Vicki, Gregg, Megan, and all of your and his wonderful posterity.
