Norman LaVerne DentonBorn: 04/23/26Died: 08/11/14 Norm was born and raised in Loon Lake, WA. After graduation from High School at age 16, he moved to Portland, OR where he continued his education. With the permission of his mother, Norm joined the navy at age 17. After his discharge at the end of World War II, Norm lived in Spokane, WA where he met and married Ruth Fought and later graduated from Gonzaga University in 1949. Together they raised their family of 3 children: Douglas (Merrily Roberts), Elizabeth (Frank Drozdowski) and Kathryn (Thomas Call). Norm and Ruth had a fourth child, Mary who died at birth. Norm is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5, soon to be 7, great-grandchildren. Norms funeral mass will be held on August 18, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St Philip Benizi Catholic Church, Redland, OR. A rosary will precede the mass at 10:30 A.M. Internment will be at St. John Cemetery, Oregon City, OR. Norm, pop, grandpa is loved and missed buy us all.
