Miguel married the love of his life, Elnora Francisco, on April 20,1970, in Manila, Philippines. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and love.
Before immigrating to Oregon in 1974, Miguel lived in Mindanao, Philippines. After moving to Oregon with Elnora, he worked in maintenance at Lloyd Center and later at Freightliner, where he retired after many dedicated years of service.
Miguel was preceded in death by his parents, Carlita Del Rosario Pamote Biteng and Tome Biteng Sr.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elnora Biteng; his children, Michael Biteng (Shannon) of Salem, Oregon, and Karla “Tina” Ochoa (Domingo) of Oregon City, Oregon; and his cherished grandchildren, Carlos and Lilly Ochoa, and Jackson and Eli Biteng. Miguel is also survived by his siblings: Farida Holland of Milwaukie, Oregon; Tome Biteng Jr. of Milwaukie, Oregon; and Dennis Biteng, Emil Biteng, and Miriam Biteng of the Philippines.
Miguel loved singing, golfing, sports, and working on cars. He was a devoted fan of the Seattle Mariners and the Portland Trail Blazers, often listening to Blazers games on the radio long before they were regularly televised. He also had a special love for the family’s pets and enjoyed their companionship over the years. Whether spending time with family, watching a game, or caring for his animals, Miguel found joy in life’s simple moments. Miguel will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic, sense of humor, and deep love for his family.
