Michael Thomas Carmody's Obituary
Michael Thomas Carmody, age 72, passed away on November 12, 2021 in Portland, Oregon, with his wife and two daughters by his side.Michael was born August 28, 1949 in San Mateo, California to Thomas and Mary Carmody. He met his wife, Lesley, in Burlingame, California and had their first child, Jennifer, in September 1975. In 1976, they relocated to Kamloops, BC, Canada, where they had their second child, Jaimie, in March 1979. Shortly after, they relocated to Milwaukie, Oregon where they have resided since.Michael spent his life as a Contractor and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golfing, camping and traveling around the world. He also loved spending quality time with his two granddaughters and grandson.Michael is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lesley Carmody; his daughter Jennifer Bergeson; daughter Jaimie Buchtel; his two son-in-laws, Garth Bergeson and Chris Buchtel; and three grandchildren, Sophia Bergeson, Ava Bergeson and Lincoln Buchtel. He is also survived by his two sisters, Erin Stannard and Patricia Chapman and many nieces and nephews.A Celebration of Life service is planned for March 2022 in Oregon City, Oregon around St. Patricks Day, a holiday that Michael was a strong believer in and loved to celebrate.
