Marvel Velma Broadhurst's Obituary
Marvel Velma Broadhurst. March 23, 1923 - April 12,2012 Mom was born at home in Lower Logan, Oregon to parents Darius Cooke, Sr. and Iva Almada Fouts. Mom married our dad, Harold Chester Broadhurst, in June of 1942 prior to his deployment to the South Pacific as a Sea Bee in WW II. She retired as the head cook from Rowe Middle School in the North Clackamas School District after 20 years of service. Mom was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, oldest son, Dennis, and brothers, Stan and Darius Fouts, Jr. Mom is survived by her four children, Kerry G Broadhurst and wife, Stephanie Coronado, M.D. of West Linn, Curtis Broadhurst of Tualatin, Richard Broadhurst and wife, Donna, of Tualatin, Carol Broadhurst of Milwaukie, and her brother, Gerald Fouts, of Boise. Grandma is survived by her 6 grandchildren Kerry Bruce Broadhurst (Sara) of Albany, Anne Barker (Brent) of Vancouver, Catherine of West Linn, Jenna of West Linn, Angela Fisher (Eric) of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Kyle of Milwaukie. Survived by 8 great grandchildren: twins Rosemary and Rachel Broadhurst; Lexie, Kayden and Brody Barker; Kelsey, Jacob and Tosha Fisher. Gravesite services have been held at Logan Pleasant View Cemetery.In lieu of flowers family requests that donations be made to Adventist Hospice in memory of Marvel Velma Broadhurst.
