Martin Mathew Kennedy's Obituary
Martin Kennedy
July 25, 1959 - July 5, 2020
Martin Kennedy was born and raised in Oregon City, surrounded by a large extended family. He missed his high school graduation in 1977, to see the Blazers play Philadelphia in the sixth and final game of the NBA championship, which the Blazers won. Eventually Martin's five siblings forgave him for making them sit in a hot gym watching his graduation even though he was not in attendance. Martin did some international travel while in the Navy and saw nearly every state in the U.S. when he worked as a furniture mover. He was hot-tempered but funny, solitary yet social. He died peacefully, at age 60. He is survived by his father, Jerry, and by his siblings: Megan (Dan) Schumaker, Morgan (Doug) O'Connor, Maren (Lynn) Black, Melia (Harlan) Hoult, and Mitch (Dawn) Kennedy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Raylene.
