Mark Edwin Fletcher's Obituary
Mark Edwin Fletcher, 62, died Thursday, September 10th, 2015 in his home in Beavercreek, Oregon following his battle with cancer.
He leaves his wife, Gay Fletcher; his son, Jeremy Fletcher, Jeremy's wife Emily and their children, Edie and Zane; his daughter, Hillary (Fletcher) Styles and her husband Daniel Styles.
Mark was born in Portland, the son of Bruce Fletcher and Francis (Tipton) Stiller.
In his early years, Mark worked several jobs, from truck canopy construction, to welding and video production. Mark eventually landed with Beavercreek Telephone where he worked 16 years before retiring just a few months before his passing. His work there included organizing the warehouse, as well as maintaining the fleet and grounds. All of the jobs Mark worked over the years gave opportunity for Mark to show his attention to detail and personal pride in his work. While many people labeled him a perfectionist, Mark would often reply that he simply strived for excellence in what he did.
Mark developed a passion for video over the years and was commonly found with a video camera on his various outings. He had an equal passion for the outdoors and, over the years, chronicled much of his family's experiences on video. In his later years, he added motorcycling and antique firearms to his list of hobbies.
Mark was a loving and devoted husband and father.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, September 27th, 2015 at the Country Church in Molalla. This will be a time of fellowship, sharing and remembrance for family, friends and acquaintances.
