“Linda M. Wilken, born in Portland, Oregon May 28, 1947, passed away peacefully with her husband Ed by her side on April 12, 2025 at their home in Portland, Oregon.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Ed Wilken. She also leaves behind her daughters, Heidi Beirwagen, Christy Riensche and Julie Buccella. Linda’s family was very special to her, having 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her 2 nieces and their families. as well as numerous other family members and friends..
A devoted wife, trusted friend, and the very centerpiece of our family, Linda lived a full life of beautiful moments, gatherings with loved ones, surrounded with laughter, crafting sessions that fueled creativity. She loved her days spent in the garden, hours in the kitchen baking treats for the special birthday guests, quilts that were stitched with care and a tru sparkle for all things Disney.
To be loved by Linda was to feel truly seen, comforted, and uplifting. Her thoughtfulness knew no bounds, and her kindness has left lasting impressions that will carry through generations. With a childlike spirit and a big heart, she was radiant light in the lives of all who knew her. Linda’s legacy is not just in the things she created, but in the way she made others feel valued, safe, and unconditionally loved.
Her belief and faith in God was quiet but profound, and we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace, forever held in the arms of her savior.
John 11:25-26
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me. will never die”.
