Karen Ann Kafer-Shuart
Karen was born on June 12 1949 in Dubuque Iowa to Joseph and Germaine Kafer. The family subsequently moved to Chicago IL.
Karen is survived by her husband David and her two brothers: Keith Kafer and Bruce Kafer [spouse Linda Kafer. Karen married David K. Shuart July 14, 1984 although they lived together from 1975-1984). Karen and David met when he, seeking to earn extra money for graduate school, applied at a small business firm near O’Hare Airport, and Karen, being the company’s Office Manager, hired him.
Karen and David have lived and worked in Chicago IL, Minneapolis MN, New York City and Dallas TX. -- culminating in a nine year appointment for the company’s Europe operation and living in Germany . Karen and David have lived in Oregon for the last five years.
