John Gregory Tonack

Ive known Greg since our freshman year at laurel wood in 1978. We played in countless ball games together and against each other throughout our 4 years there. As we moved on to college and beyond, we would periodically reconnect. It was always like you had just seen each other the day before.In the last few months of his life, Greg and I would meet every couple of weeks and have dinner. We would discuss wide range of topics from business to families to recreation. On Labor Day 2020 we kayaked on trillium lake together on Mt. Hood. I did not realize at time how meaningful this outing was to him but he spoke of it frequently to myself and others. We made many plans to go camping but sadly his health deteriorated soon after. Greg challenged me to meet him in heaven. I know hell be raring to get the guys together and do that camping trip in heaven.While we didnt get to do all the outdoor stuff he had planned, we will someday.Love you brother -
