Jerome Ronald Knox 8/20/1945 - 8/17/2014Jerome Ronald Knox was born on August 20, 1945, in Forest Grove, OR. He was the youngest of four children of Harold and Anna Knox. He graduated from Benson High School, Portland, OR, in 1963.He joined the Marine Corps in 1966 and served in Vietnam with Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 13th Marines. He married Diane on the 21st of October 1967.They lived in the Portland area for the next 47 years. They have two children, Kim and Ryan as well as two grandchildren, Morgan and Dylan.Jerry was owner and operator of Thomson Machinery for 40 years retiring in December, 2012.Survivors include his wife Diane, children Kim [Dave], Ryan [Laura], grandchildren Morgan and Dylan, sisters JoAnne [Dale] Tyson, Marilyn [Jim] Goodrich, brother Sandy [Jan] Knox and many nieces and nephews.Services will be held Saturday, August 23rd, at St. Philip Benizi, Oregon City, OR at 11:00 am. Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
