Irmgard Marggi's Obituary
Marggi, Irmgard 92 May 15, 1927 Irmgard (Schmidt) Marggi passed away peacefully on Sunday March 15, 2020. Irmgard was born in Oregon City Oregon and raised in Beavercreek Oregon, where she graduated from Oregon City High School. After high school, she worked for Hogg Brothers in Oregon City where she met her future husband, Lawrence. They were married in 1954 and had 3 children, Jim Marggi, Jan Marggi Smith and Barb Marggi. Irmgard worked for several Oregon City businesses in her career, but her favorite was working for the City of Oregon City. She worked there as an administrative assistant for 25 years before retiring. She made many friends working at the City. After she retired her favorite hobbies were traveling and gardening. She often marveled that the little farm girl from Beavercreek traveled the world and saw all 7 continents. Some of most favorite trips were to Germany to see family and spend time with them. She also loved to sing, especially hymns while she played the piano and spoke German. Besides her love for travel, she also loved her six grandchildren, Jessica, Bryan, Jordanne, Sarah, Tanner and Kristin. Her eyes sparkled with delight whenever they were near. There are so many special memories from the many activities we did as a family. She was also very proud of the roses she displayed in her front yard and shared them with others.
Due to the Corona Virus, we are limited to a service for the immediate family at Mt. View Cemetery. A celebration of life is postponed until summer.
