Helen Claire Young's Obituary
Helen Young, 81, of Beavercreek, OR went to be with her Father in Heaven on January 26, 2018. She passed peacefully with her family by her side.
Helen was the widow of Donald M. Young, and is survived by six sons: David B. Young, of Beavercreek, OR; Robert F. Young, of Otis, OR; Michael M. Young, of Oregon City; Patrick E. Young of Roanoke, TX; Donald A. Young, of Oregon City; and Steven L. Young, of Vancouver, WA. Helen is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, bothers Edward Roley of Lapine, OR; Sister Carol Balcom; and brother Robert Roley of Portland, OR.
Helen was preceded in death by Sister Barbara Young; Sister Georgie Lenhardt; and Brother, Carl Roley. Helen was born to the late Ronald and Georgie Roley on September 1, 1936. The family resided in Portland, Beavercreek and Oregon City. She attended Oregon City High School, graduation class of 1954.
Helen married Donald M. Young on September 13, 1958 and resided in Beavercreek from that day forward. She was employed as a title officer at Ticor Title for 51 years, before retiring in October 1999. Helen was very active in church, and volunteered for many years at St. John's the Apostle in Oregon City. She loved spending time with her family. She was also an avid gardener and enjoyed bargain shopping. Helen was known for her benevolence and for always putting others before herself.
A funeral service will be held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Oregon City, followed by a graveside ceremony at St. John's Cemetery on February 1, 2018.
