Helen Marie Dykstra
Helen Marie Dykstra was born in Maxville, Oregon August 22, 1924. She passed peacefully on July 9, 2026 due to complications of Dementia at the age 101.
Helen was married to Elwyn (Bud) Dykstra for 65 years and they raised their children in the Portland area. After the children had grown they moved to LaGrande, Oregon and ran a home appliance store. After they retired and sold their business, they traveled the United States in their fifth wheel and spent winters in Arizonia. They also did camp hosting in various parks in Oregon. They eventually settled back in Milwaukie Oregon where she lived out her remaining years.
Helen is survived by her daughter Barbara De Jager, 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by husband Elwyn Dykstra, son Larry Dykstra and daughters Patricia Salo and Janice Blakeslee-Lundeen.
Helen was a wonderful wife, mother and grandma. She was loved by all and will be forever in our hearts.
