Grant Craig Gowen's Obituary
Grant Craig Gowen, born May 22, 1941 in Portland, OR, passed away peacefully in his memory care facility in Oregon City, OR, early morning April 12, 2022, at the age of 80.
He grew up in SE Portland with his parents, Chester Gowen and Joyce (Kidder) Gowen and older sister Barbara (Gowen) Saldivar, who all preceded him in death. He graduated from Franklin High School.
He married Patricia Burke, who also preceded him in death. They had two daughters, Shelly and Lesley. He was a compassionate man and devoted husband and father.
Grant worked for Eastman Kodak for many years and later owned his own business processing microfilm. After retiring, he moved to Crooked River Ranch to be near friends and enjoy the outdoors.
He was well known for his laugh and will be forever remembered for lighting up any room with that contagious laughter along with his kindness and compassion towards others.
Grant is survived by his daughters, Shelly Gowen Choy (Willis), of Honolulu, HI, and Lesley Gowen Woods, of Oregon City, OR, and four grandchildren, Keegan Choy, Emma Choy, Grace Woods and Zachary Woods.
