Gisella Lenzser
September 27, 1923 - June 3, 2015
In the early morning hours Gisella Lenzser passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 91. She was born Gisella Horvath in the small rural town of Gyorsovenyhaz, Hungary. Gisella was the youngest of six children. She married her childhood sweetheart Josef Lenzser in 1944. In 1946 she, her husband and newly born child Elizabeth, immigrated to Germany. After five years, the family with son Frederick, immigrated to the United States. The family has lived in Oregon since 1953. They have lived in Mt. Angel, Portland, West Linn and Beavercreek. Gisella work as a seamstress in a clothing factory.
Gisella is survived by her children, Elizabeth Kraft (husband Ralph) and Frederick Lenzser; her five grandchildren, Sarah Dorn (husband Garrick), Joseph Kraft, James Kraft, Kate Molina (husband Alfredo) and Kellen Hassard; and great grandchildren, Paige Dorn, Sydney Dorn and Deiva Molina. Gisella was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She made remarkable pastries. Gisella touched the lives and tastebuds of many and will be truly missed.
Gisella was preceded in death by her husband Josef.
Services will be held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church at 417 Washington St. in Oregon City on Wednesday June 10, 2015. The rosary will begin at 10:30 am to be followed by Mass, a reception and graveside service.
