Bradenton,Fla 1974-75, I remember Gil and I on bridges all night with a lantern hanging over the side doing figure 8’s with a big lure trying to catch a snook, not sure we ever caught one, but sure was fun trying. RIP

Precious moment every time Gil came to Shenandoah he stopped in to see Uncle Olin.
Gil was a regular in our tennis group, which plays multiple mornings each week. Like any sport, tennis has its ups and downs, but Gil always remained positive and in good humor, even when his partner (often me!) cost us the point. He took the game seriously, giving his best effort, but never letting that get in the way of his grace towards others.
I loved how as teenagers, he would be sitting in his chair and always take the time to come and chat with us. Making us always feel so important and loved. His gentle voice and friendliest smile. 🩷
