Gary Dwight Beamer

Gary Beamer served in the Army at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. After retiring from a career in the US Forest Service, he worked with D. Disabled People in Juneau, AK. Later, in Ashland, OR, he worked assisting the homeless people. Gary was ordained by the New Seminary at the Cathedral of St. John of the Divine in NY City, and officiated at four family weddings. He served as a St. Elizabeth Hospice Volunteer in Indiana, Larsh community in Seattle, and Age Wise Age Well in Medford, OR among others.
Gary very much loved his family. In his later years, Gary was a deeply spiritual man whose kindness and humor shown out of his crinkly blue eyes. Gary is survived by his wife Josel Beamer, sister Joy Zook, daughters Sabrina Struble, June Doan, and Lana Gillean, son Brett Beamer, step children Val Evart and Byron Folwell and 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The celebration of Gary's life will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Holman-Hankins-Bowker & Waud. Donations to be made to Bristol Hospice Foundation in Clackamas, OR. A very special thanks to the wonderful people at Marquis Oregon City.
