Frances Mary Robinson's Obituary
Frances Mary Robinson passed away Sunday, Jan. 25th In Oregon City, Oregon. She was born November 12th, 1924 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to George and Elsie O'Brien. She was one of six children. In 1927, at the age of three, Frances and her family moved to Stockton, California. There she met Louis Morgan, who was based at Stockton Field. They were married in 1943. After the war they moved to Scappoose, Oregon. Louis passed away in 1950.Frances married Robert Robinson in 1952. She had two sons by Louis: James (Jim) and a baby who passed away in 1948. She had four children with Robert: twins Johan and Howard, then Brian, and finally her girl Theresa. Robert passed away in 1981. Frances moved back to Stockton to take care of her mother until she passed away. She then moved back to Portland for many years and then on to Oregon City.Frances was very active in her church. She was also a Master Gardener, who always had a garden and loved growing flowers. She also worked for many years on projects for the local Association for Retarded Citizens. Frances loved to read and was an avid swimmer. She was a true caregiver who was always there to help her family in times of crisis.She is survived by her sister Evelyn Gorley; sister-in-law Margaret O'Brien; son Jim Morgan, as well as sons Howard and Brian Robinson; daughter Theresa Vitro; daughter-in-law Sylvia Morgan; grandchildren Rich Morgan, and also Robert and Nick Vitro; the sons of her heart Steven Wilson and grandson Nick Stacy; and many nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Vanessa Robinson and by her granddaughter Darcy Morgan Griffith. There will be a small grave side service at Willamette National Cemetery on Jan. 28th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the American Legion.
