Esther Louise (Roller) Holladay
Louise Holladay passed quietly in the early afternoon November 8, 2022 at Tanner Spring Assisted Living, West Linn. She was 93 years old.
Louise as she preferred being called, was born September 8, 1929 to Norman Roller and Oma Barnes in Elma Washington. After a workplace accident took her father when she was five, she and “Nana” lived in Centralia Washington where when to high school and Jr. College.
On February 19, 1950 she married her high school sweetheart, Robert “Bob” Holladay and they remained married for 59 years until Bob passed in 2009.
Louise is survived by her four children Pegg Pricer (Ronn), West Linn, Dan Holladay (Betty), Oregon City, Rick Holladay (Marybeth), Sequim Washington and Rob Holladay (Karen, Portland.
She was grandma to 13 grandkids & 13 great-grandkids.
Louise was involved in her kids’ lives, volunteering at school, PTA president, And Den mother etc. Once her family was out of grade school she went back to work as school secretary at Jennings lodge Elementary retiring after 17 years.
She was active in the church as member of West Linn 1st Baptist church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and enjoyed her love of flowers by organizing the flowers for Sunday service.
After retirement she and Bob loved to visit the coast and visit grandkids including a trip to Taiwan and Lithuania.
A private Internment will take place Tuesday November 29 at Willamette National Cemetery.
