Ernest Louis Sabo's Obituary
ERNEST LOUIS SABO May 12, 1935---May 22, 2014 Born at Albany, California Hospital Parents: Louis Sabo and Anna Marie Agoston Sabo Schooling: Riverside, California, Palms school, Riverside Poly High, Riverside City College, University of Southern California (USC) He was in the ROTC program both at High School and City College. At that time the Draft was in vogue, and his number was soon to come up, and unable to get a job because of it. He joined the Army Sept. 12,1958. He was trained to be a Medical Lab Tech. He was sent to Italy, and was there at the Base Hospital Lab, He came back to the USA, and was discharged on August 5, 1961. He was in the Reserves until Sept. 11, 1964 He returned to USC and completed His education, He graduated with a BS in Laboratory Technology. He later studied and Graduated with an MBA. He also became a Certified Microbiologist. He met Carolyn at Riverside County Hospital, She was a RN in the ICU, He was a lab Tech at the Hospital. They were married on August 3D, 1963, at Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1966 ,July 23 They adopted Suzanne Marie. On December 28, 1967 Charles Louis arrived and was adopted. On January 22,1969 James Clifford was born. In 1970 they moved to Oregon City. Ernie came first and found a job, and a house to buy. Carolyn stayed in Riverside to sell the house there. The whole family arrived on August 18 to the new houseCarolyn had never seen the house until that day. Ernies work history: Lab Tech at Riverside County Hospital and Bacteriologist. Chief Lab Tech.ST.Bernidines , San Bernidino. Lab tech. and teacher -Portland Adventist Hospital. Lab Tech. Portland VA Hospital. State of Oregon -Laboratory Inspector-Lab Licensing until retirement in 2000. He was diagnosed with Lymphoma In 1997, and had returned bouts two more times. After the third time His kidneys were effected and needed to be on Dialysis three times a week He was in the Hospital the last time ,and had a cardiac arrest May 22, 2014. Family: Wife Carolyn . Children :Charles L Saba-Beaverton, Ore, James Clifford Saba, wife-Stacey, Stepson- Brennan Boyle-Overland Park, Kansas. Daughter Suzanne Marie Saba-Hall-predeceased her father. He was a member of the Gladstone Park Seventh-day Adventist Church since 1970. He served as a Church elder and Sabbath School teacher, adult division and Junior department. Services will be held on Saturday June 14, 2014 at 3:00PM at the Gladstone Park Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gladstone, Oregon.
